I've always been fascinated by space and the mystery of how stars form and die. I recently went down a rabbit hole while doing research for my latest essay, "To Two Binary Stars." I binged Kurzgesagt videos (https://youtu.be/udFxKZRyQt4) and was captivated by Neil deGrasse Tyson's explanation of nuclear fusion (https://youtu.be/MJuVfVMJsc4). I remember scouring the Internet for early concept models of the James Webb Telescope in 2017, and I'm sure I'll continue to investigate these mysteries.

What a spectacular series, Garrett. I’m moved by your mediations. I feel a great sense of comfort in the realization that I never lost faith. It’s always been with me, and facing my uncertainty only makes me more certain of my faith.

This was really interesting framing! I never thought as Jesus not following the hero’s joruney (though I tend to think of him as a martyr anyways). Really interesting series overall! I’m glad YOU wrote it!

I’m fascinated how two versions of the same event lead to two completely different theologies and praxis. The governor is named in your creed; not named in mine. There’s the same conclusion that Jesus will be resurrected but the middle is murky. Muslims don’t believe he died on the cross or that there were any sins. We believe God took his soul before he died on the cross and that he will reappear at the end of time to call his followers. Do you have the story of Abraham where he’s cast into the fire but he’s not burned? My version is kinda like that. He didn’t experience any pain or discomfort. There’s more pain in Mary’s account of giving birth to Jesus alone than anywhere else in my book. Where Mary’s voice in your books? I hope you don’t mind my asking. Thank you for this.

Hi Sadia, I don’t mind you asking at all, but don’t have the answers for you. I am not Christian, and my knowledge of Christianity and the Bible doesn’t extend much beyond the scope of this series of essays.

This is fantastic, Garrett. Not many people can write well about religion. I will certainly read the other pieces.
